Cheers Food & Fuel Chooses KSS for Fuel Price Management

Florham Park, N.J., June 30, 2010 -- Cheers Food and Fuel, a chain of 11 locally owned convenience stores in the Midwestern United States, has selected a suite of KSS Fuels products to provide day-to-day fuel price management and optimization to its retail locations.

Cheers will use PriceNet, PriceNet Mobile and PriceNet Web on a subscription basis for a fully integrated fuel price management offering.

Founded in 2002 with a goal to provide excellent customer service, the regional chain will implement this suite of KSS Fuels solutions to enable them to respond more quickly to changing oil prices. Cheers Food and Fuel has outlets in western Kentucky, southern Illinois, and southeastern Missouri.

“We selected these KSS Fuels solutions to have a system that provides enhanced market responsiveness, which will enable us to improve our overall performance around fuel volume and margin at each of our stores,” said Nathan Long, CEO for Cheers. “KSS Fuels offers a ‘best practices’ approach to fuel pricing that will allow us to obtain the highest level of efficiency around our execution of fuel price changes.”

“We are delighted to have Cheers as a new partner and are eager to help this growing local chain to improve volume and boost profits,” said Bob Stein, president and CEO of KSS Fuels. “Our PriceNet products will let them evaluate pricing at the local site level and make informed pricing decisions rapidly. A fully scalable solution, PriceNet is as effective for a regional chain of 11 stores as it is for a national enterprise with hundreds of outlets.”

PriceNet is a comprehensive pricing solution that supports the key tasks and stakeholders involved in retail fuels pricing. High levels of automation and an ‘exception-based’ approach ensure a rapid response to competitors and market conditions and allow pricing analysts to leverage the power of pricing analytics.

A family of products, PriceNet also includes PriceNet Mobile, which delivers real-time fuels pricing via handheld mobile devices such as PDAs and Blackberrys. In addition, PriceNet Web facilitates exchange of data between field offices and the head office to allow review and authorization of price adjustments more quickly at a local level.

KSS Fuels is the leading global provider of pricing software, analytics and consulting services to fuel retailers and wholesalers in the oil & gas, convenience store and retail industries. KSS Fuels helps fuel marketers identify and efficiently execute optimal pricing strategies.

The company’s U.S. headquarters is located in Florham Park, New Jersey, and its international headquarters is based in Manchester, United Kingdom.
