Glenview, Ill., January 28, 2010 -- "America's favorite brand of American cheese" -- KRAFT Singles -- has partnered with Disney ABC to discover America's "Single Best Town," inviting people across the country to share the single best thing about their town.
From a unique monument to a charming local festival, KRAFT Singles is searching for the one-of-a-kind features that make America's towns special and uniquely American.
This spring, America's winning "Single Best Town" will enjoy an unforgettable block party featuring country music trio Love And Theft, who are gearing up to tour with country music superstars Tim McGraw and Lady Antebellum. The winning town will rock out to music from the band's recently released debut album, World Wide Open, including hits "Runaway" and "Dancing In Circles." The block party will also feature appearances by ABC Soap Stars.
"When we're out on tour we get to see the best of America in every town we visit, so we're really looking forward to jamming with the 'Single Best Town' in America," says Stephen Barker Liles of Love And Theft. "Who knows, we might even write a song about it!"
From January 25 through February 28, KRAFT Singles fans can enter the "Single Best Town" contest at www.familyfun.com/best-town-contest by submitting a photo and short description of what they consider the single best thing about their town. Ten finalists will be selected and America's vote will determine the "Single Best Town" in America.
"Every American has something about their town that makes them proud to call it home, and the great thing is Americans all have a different perspective on what makes their town so special," says Clayton Wai-Poi, senior brand manager for KRAFT Singles. "We are looking forward to celebrating Americans coast-to-coast this year and can't wait to give one amazing town a once-in-a-lifetime experience with a block party headlined by Love And Theft."
